Soccer season has started for us. All the kids are playing, which means we spend all day Saturday at the soccer fields. It's pretty fun, and I really like soccer. It's a good sport. I especially like that hardly anyone scores goals, because it's not fun when everyone BUT YOUR KID scores points. Plus, when a goal is kicked, the whole team celebrates, because it is truly a team effort. I JUST LIKE SOCCER. And the kids are running up and down the field the whole time, which is good exercise.
Speaking of exercise, it's finally starting to warm up. (Of course, now that I say that, it will probably snow or sleet again, just for karma's sake.) I am going to start training for my half marathon. I found a few resources and training schedules online, and I think I'll tweak them a bit and make them fit my life better. The hardest part about all of it is actually getting outside and doing it. I'm a big baby and don't want to go outside if I have to wear too many layers. Plus, I don't have crazy amounts of running gear, seeing as how I'm not a serious runner yet. (Let's be honest, at this point, I'm a walker.) I'm just saying that all I have is a coat. As in one. I have a hoodie, but it's super thin, and I don't even own a long sleeved shirt. (Well, I have two, but they're linen, and nice, and not for exercising in.) So I need it to be warmer for me to go outside.
