It's been really nice outside the last few days. We've taken advantage and gone to the playground after dinner to help wear ourselves out.
Also, the owner of the house we're in came by today to pick up the stuff he left here. (We've only been waiting for him to get everything since December.) Well, he backed up his van so that he could get his canoe out of the shed and into the back, nice and easy, and he forgot to put on the parking brake. BANG, the van slid right down into the shed door, and now it's broken. Which is really annoying because our lawnmower and bikes and outside toys were in there.
So NOW, all of the things in the shed are in the garage. Which means that only one car can fit in the garage, and since the jeep is topless, it gets the coveted indoor space, which means that I get to park outside. I know, first world problems.
Meanwhile, I made pioneer bonnets for the girls, because we have a Pioneer Day pig roast tomorrow at church, and they insisted on dressing as pioneers. Daniel was totally bummed, because he wanted to dress like a pioneer, and pioneer boys are very boring to look at. I told him that pioneer boys probably wore vests, so we whipped him up a new vest. Of course, it's probably much brighter than regular pioneers, but we don't care, because it's GREEN and GOLD and has FISHIES on it and it has GOLD BUTTONS and we are very proud of our new vest. I'll take a picture and put it up here later. Not now, now is time for me to go to bed, because I am starting to get the hang of this whole "early to bed, early to rise" thing. It's only taken a couple of decades, but HEY, better late than never.
