We're going out of town. And of course, being the mom, I'm in charge of making sure that people bring enough underwear and sunscreen and all that jazz.
But this time is a little different, because we're staying in a hotel for a week, and not with a relative, and I have to plan FOOD. I mean, I don't HAVE to plan food, but I don't want to eat out every meal, which means that I have to do something about it.
The place we're staying has a little kitchen, so if I wanted, I could bring a whole slew of ingredients. But then, there would be dishes. My mom told me that they have lunch things that you just heat up in the microwave, easy peasy, so I decided to look into that.
GUYS: MY MIND. IT'S BLOWN.
I have never been on that particular grocery store aisle, because I never needed anything. But TODAY! Today I looked at all the amazing meals that I can make! In a microwave! Just add water!
I was fully prepared to take a loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter and call it a day, but now, we have options!
Do you guys use pre-packaged dinners like this? I'm seriously interested.
Also: We ate lunch at Ikea today. Because it's Tuesday. Which means kids eat free. We EVEN took a FRIEND "out to lunch" with us.
Today: super successful.
