I put on my painting clothes this morning fully intending to paint the girls bathroom. Now it's almost three o'clock in the afternoon, and I haven't even gone upstairs to see if the bathroom is clean enough to be painted. Obviously, I'm a fantastic procrastinator.
I did do my dishes and make dinner though... so my day wasn't a total waste.
Meanwhile, why is soggy cereal so hard to get off the floors? I practically need a crowbar to scrape it off, and I don't care what anyone says, I've never had to work that hard to get rice or oatmeal off the floor. It's like glue is an ingredient or something. It almost makes me want to stop giving my kids cereal for breakfast, but then I remember how easy it is, and I just keep scraping instead.
Also: I know this is the first week of official summer, except that Thaddeus has cub scout camp all week, and so I'm not counting it. Mostly I decided to not count this week because I have a whole new work system worked out, and it wouldn't be fair to us if Thaddeus missed out, plus I would have to explain it twice, which, you know, I don't want to do. I prefer to think of it as "summer parenting" as opposed to "laziness".
