I was invited to a Behind-the-Scenes reception earlier this week, where I got to see their newest location on M Street and, of course, sample their delicious gourmet cupcakes.
I mean really, who says no to cupcakes?
It was a fun night, and I had the chance to talk to Founder and Food Network star Candace Nelson. She’s super excited about the HUGE kitchen they have at this location.
AND: the Georgetown location is the first to have an event space! Bubblegum pink floors and a skylight that looks down on the kitchen make it the perfect space to hold bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties and more.
Hosting the night was Ali Wentworth. Sprinkles made a $25000 donation to Ali’s charity, BabyLoveDC.org. Ali is just lovely and was so excited to tell us about the great things Baby Love is doing.
“BabyLove DC provides clothing, products, gear, and other necessities to pregnant mothers and their children from 0 to 6 years old in DC's inner city. We need your help to provide these women with supplies so that they can give their children a better home. Please donate your new or gently used baby supplies.”
Next time you go downtown, be sure to stop at 3015 M Street NW in Georgetown and get a cupcake or twelve.
I recommend the lemon coconut.
