Okay, my aunt just sent me this and I'm not sure I like the idea of it.
I was interested in what all of you thought about it. I can see the genius of getting people hooked on the movie, THEN buying the books, but just because I can see it, doesn't mean I have to like it.
I just am not down with the whole concept of a senile God. Sure, I think it's great to have exposure to different religions and cultures, but I don't think that this is a story worth reading. I want my kids to be well-rounded, but more importantly, I want them to have a solid foundation that is built on God, and the Gospel, and Jesus Christ. . . I don't want them to have to question their faith. To each their own, I guess. My own just happens to be the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
PS No I haven't read the books, so I probably shouldn't comment on all this anyway. But it's my blog and I'll do what I want. So there.
